Default Henchmen (Stand still fool!)

I mean... it's really funny watching my elementalist place a ward and run outside of it... but, come on...

Or, my paragon will shout "stand your ground" and if anybody's under attack, they run like mad...

Not much help coming from either of these skills, besides making me laugh at the genious of the a.i. mixed with the skill names.

Anyhow, what I'm getting at; Is there a way to keep your henchmen/hero's from moving from those attacking them?

Have you tried a flag and aggressive mode ? Possibly defensive mode, but definitely not passive.

I have, but it's quite the annoyance to move them. And my monk won't heal while he's running towards where I want him (this is expected with flag movement, and was explained during the training.) Then, after they get to the area, if they're still under attack, they continue to run around.

Perhaps this could be some kind of suggestion for an improvement on the hero control.

I decided to try going through as many missions/quests as I can with just a four man team. Me and my hero's. That's why death doesn't really bother me that much. I really find it quite hillarious when my elementalist hero places a fresh ward and runs directly out of it... I don't know why, but it's just really funny to watch.

My elementalist happens to be part earth and part paragon command. Command was only used for stand your ground. So, I get more laughs as he uses it and runs away from his attackers.

Anyhow, my build would do much better if these skills were more helpfull.

They just kite when they are getting damaged. Probably 90% of the time that is the proper behavior, it just sucks when those spells are cast. I just never take them anymore, assume they will kite from a level 10 enemy, and go from there.

The one I do not get is when you stand still, or many times when you have a flag set they stand in a type of formation (say a circle or a square centered on you). But, it seems that one or two of them can not make up their mind what slot they are supposed to be in and run back and forth. It can be irritating when trying to remove disease from the group, especially when they decide on the square and they swap across corners.

There is quite a few things the hench/hero AI does that is funny. I like to "role play" and I tend to imagine the conversation. Ever have one cast diversion on a random level animal? That was one of the funniest things they ever did - there was a whole skit around somewhere on Dunham having a severe phobia of pets.

Ahh, at least we can get a laugh out of much of the behavior - Two hench healers deciding to ignore flags and the rest of the team running and decide to duo wand three pain titans to death is just irritating. Only deaths I had in the whole Gates of Madness mission on my last go.

Try this on for size, Olias with a full company of minions and the healer henchies ignoring the fact that he is about to die, then standing there and instead of fighting the minions to get them out of the way, stilll attacking a target they now have no way of defeating due to the minions killing them. that sux. Also not running away from the fight when you do.

This isnt quite what this thread was about .... but I wisht here were a command where you could make your henchmen/heros and pets stand still so you could get a good look at them and or snap a picture. They have ants in their pants

I would rather be able to make them stand in place.

But, ya... I've just been changing around my build some more. I'm running myself a high armor build between me and my three hero's and ward vs melee + stand your ground would help immensively.
